The current French language pages of Agence Bretagne Presse carry an interview with Yann Fouere and this maybe of interest to Celtic League members and supporters.
Yann, now in his ninety-eight year is one of the founder members of the Celtic League. He was one of four key figures in the inter-celtic movement (the others were Alan Heusaff, Gwynfor Evans and J. E. Jones) who established the League at Rhosllannerchrugog, North Wales in 1961. He has been a committed supporter of the Breton cause for all his life.
In the history of the Breton movement in the twentieth century he is certainly one of the most outstanding personalities. He was active in establishing several publications promoting Breton nationalism and his book "Europe of a Hundred Flags", published in 1968, remains a defining work on federalism in Europe It has been republished several times and translated into several languages.
Like many Breton nationalists, Yann Fouere left Brittany after WW 2 initially moving to Wales before settling in Ireland.
